14-16th March 2008 - Woodlands Activity Camp
Over the
weekend 55 boys and girls took part in outdoor activities at Woodlands Camp,
Aldridge. They took part in canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, archery, and
an assault course and zip wire.
Although the weather was not too kind, nobody seemed to worry about getting too wet. Thank you to all the leaders and helpers who gave their time for the boys and girls.
08/03/08 - Sponsored Walk - Baggeridge Country Park
One hundred and twenty four Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders plus two four legged friends, Barny and Robbie arrived at Baggeridge to walk for their Group.
Seven
District Groups were represented and some 450 plus miles walked during the
morning. We even had a Beaver or Cub who ran round the course, if you
know his name please let us know (Admin).
The Groups of the District should be £2000 better off after the efforts of
Walkers.
Thanks must be attributed to ADC Cubs, Barbara who kept walkers, helpers and parents supplied with over 150 cups of squash and accompanying biscuits and had the kettle singing and making 100 cups of coffee.

03/03/08 - Beavers splashing about
On Saturday night, Ounsdale Leisure centre saw host to the Annual "Beaver Splash".....and "Splash" they certainly did... All 76 of them !!
A good time was had by all. Thank you to those who took part and the leaders who organised and supported the event.
03/03/08 - Launch of the district Web Site
Wolverhampton South District are now online and we have launched our very own District Website.
Whilst the site is now up and running we are looking to YOU, the members of the district to help us add more content to the site. We are looking for assistance on the following pages;

Well done to all the Scouts and Explorers those who took part in the Three Peaks Challenge.
